My thesis, Main Street, it is an analysis about American Loneliness through Visual Culture and social studies, born with the urge to draw a line of what it is considered a USA citizen and what truly hides beside the concept of American Dream. From the Kellogg’s Modern Home Kit to American beauty to the Tableau Vivan of Philip Lorca diCorcia and Gregory Crewdson, Main Street, observes the power of the two dimension of the images, the mass medial one and the artistic one, trying to show the inevitable cause, wake up call and consequences that nowadays drive Americans towards a much increasing loneliness and alienation.
